Conscious Connected Breathing with Ambrose Sappho

Join us for Conscious Connected Breathing Workshops.  Three offered this summer.

June 25th, July 23rd, August 27th

10 AM- 1 PM

All loving relationships begin within ourselves. When we give ourselves love and acceptance, only then we can truly love others. Clear communication is the basis for all loving relationships. However, many people are stuck in patterns that tend to block their health, prosperity and enlightenment or aliveness. Many of these patterns are unconscious and stem from childhood, and so we create situations for ourselves that we think are outside our control. These patterns will repeat themselves until they are identified and interrupted with conscious awareness and intention.

Using relationship tools, self-discovery processes, creative thinking techniques, and most importantly, the gentle and powerful tool of Conscious Breathing, you are able to:

*Make Love the basis of ALL your relationships — beginning with your relationship with yourself

* Communicate more clearly and tell the truth faster

* Learn to ask for and receive what you actually want

* Bring more of what you love into your occupation

* Recognize patterns in love life, work life, and home life, and learn to change the behaviors to change the patterns

* Accept and enjoy your body without judgement

* Feel fulfilled in your sensuality

* Enter your natural state of love and bliss

* Integrate your spirituality in practical, fun ways

* Heal our current relationships, and/or Attract the relationships we truly want

* Breathe and live more deeply, fully, and without inhibition

Mindfulness Immersion

If you:

  • Notice you are lodged in one kind of emotion a lot of the time.
  • Relationships feel stale, conflict ridden, or function mostly on autopilot
  • Feel an urge to act but are having trouble finding an authentic way to do so
  • Are going through a challenging time
  • Want to allow in more joy

…this program is for you.

We will be focusing in on three elements of mindfulness practice:
Thoughts/mind
Somatics/body
Heartfulness/compassion

Walk away:

  • Feeling more free to respond rather than react
  • Experiencing more honesty within yourself
  • Cultivating greater intimacy with those you’re closest to
  • With a deepened connection and dialogue with your body
  • Experiencing more happiness and enjoyment of life
  • Empowered to practice mindfulness anytime or even feeling it to be a way of life

Threshold practitioners, Julia and Beth, started What Is: Mindfulness, an organization that brings mindfulness education to children and adults. As we set out into our Spring programs in schools, we are seeking more funding and opportunities to share. So, we created a way to do both! If you want to see more mindfulness education for students and have been wanting to deepen or begin a practice of your own, this program is for you.
When:
Sunday, April 9th, from 11am-3:30pm

Cost: $295

Thoughts:
In the first part, we will delve deeper into an introduction to a mindfulness practice, with a focus on our mind. We will learn to pay attention to our thoughts without judgement. We will gain tools and practices to allow thoughts and feelings to flow, rather than the experience of getting stuck in unhelpful thought patterns. Labeling thoughts and feelings, with compassion, can reduce the sensation of stress and allow for more present living.

Somatics:
The second Sunday will be devoted to noticing how your body plays a role in your experience of now. Drawing from craniosacral therapy, somatic experiencing, and anatomical specificity, Julia will offer you insight into how feeling and sensation can shift your experience of the present moment, tools to regulate your own nervous system, and anatomy to support your ability to become more intimate with your body.

Heartfulness:
We will finish out the series by swimming into the realm of the heart. As an integral part of mindfulness, the ability to cultivate feelings of closeness to the self and others would never be left out of our agenda. We will practice intentional thought and reflect on what comes up as we cultivate love. Everyone needs and can have more of this practice, and studies show the effects of the happiness that is generated reverberate out into the wider community.

SCAR TISSUE RELEASE FOR ALL: LARGE & SMALL, OLD & NEW(ISH)

IMG_6681Join Julia for a morning of self-care. Our physical bodies do a miraculous job healing from injury and surgery, closing up large and small openings so that we can continue on with our lives. Still, after our tissue pulls together, there is almost always new pain, discomfort, or numbness sometimes even places that seem unrelated. On top of that, the visible evidence of surgery may be upsetting or feel too public.

In this workshop, I want to teach you how to use your scar, no matter how old or new*, large or small, as a handle for healing:

  • Decrease the size and visibility of your scar
  • Bring greater range of motion to joints, muscles and skin around the scar
  • Increase hydration, metabolism, and resilience where your scar once limited these abilities.
  • Give more space for processing emotions sometimes secretly stashed in the tight scar tissue

This two-hour, hands-on workshop allows you to:

  • Discover why your touch matters to scars – get the (mind-blowingly beautiful) basics on the anatomy and physiology of scars so you can understand how your surface attention effects your depths.
  • Approach touch with care and holistic intention so that your emotions and physical sensations can meet and magnify your healing.
  • Learn proper scar tissue release techniques and take home a plan, so that you can take action beyond this workshop.

In this 90-minute, hands-on workshop, we will:

  • Discover why our touch matters to scars – get the (mind-blowingly beautiful) basics on the anatomy and physiology of scars.
  • Approach touch with care and intention – making space for fear, sorrow, and feelings of loss that often come along with surgical scars.
  • Learn and practice scar tissue release techniques on yourself.
  • Take home a plan, so that your self-care is specific to you, pleasurable, and accessible.
