Caitlyn King, MFT (Individual, Relational, Sex Therapy, & Coaching)

Caitlyn King, MFT holds a Masters degree in Couple & Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA with a specialization in sex therapy. Caitlyn is a member of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT), and approaches working with clients from a systemic perspective. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Philadelphia University. While at Thomas Jefferson University Caitlyn interned in the University City and Center City offices at The Council for Relationships, and provided in home family therapy through Turning Points for Children. Throughout her career, Caitlyn has also provided therapeutic coaching for individuals experiencing deficits in executive functioning skills.

Caitlyn is an individual and relational psychotherapist, who specializes in working with clients who have attentional difficulties or learning differences such as ADHD, whether in a couple, family, or individual setting, as well as working with those experiencing perceived sexual dysfunctions. She has experience working with anxiety or mood disorders such as Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder, as well as those experiencing grief, trauma, or significant life transitions. Caitlyn enjoys working with creative individuals, and uses warmth and humor frequently to facilitate a safe environment where clients can explore and integrate parts of their identities.

In addition to utilizing individual, couples, and family therapy, Caitlyn believes in a contextual, creative, and collaborative approach to therapeutic coaching. Caitlyn has successfully coached and tutored clients of all age groups experiencing a variety of academic and emotional challenges including ADHD, learning differences, and anxiety and mood disorders.  Some of the challenges her clients face include impulse control, emotional regulation, planning/prioritizing, flexibility, working memory, self-monitoring, self-advocacy, task initiation, and motivation.

Her background in relational therapy enables her to effectively coach her clients to successfully identify and utilize their surrounding support systems in order to promote lasting changes. Caitlyn’s greatest joy is the privilege of witnessing her clients’ replacement of their personal struggles and strife with achievements and their sense of mastery. She is passionate about collaborating with her clients and tailoring interventions and coping techniques, conducive to meeting their needs.
